[A large WELCOME sign is hanging from the buildings when you walk into Levanta Town, but that seems to be the only sign that today is any different than any other day. The villagers are simply going about their daily business. However, if they are approached they are more than happy to explain the region as well as they can to any new arrivals.

[There's a lot of looking for some time! Eventually, though, Cynthia will excitedly but quietly point out some movement in the trees.]

Look! A flock of pidgey are sitting in the same tree as a flock of starly! How strange!

When it comes down to it, they're all birds in the end. Every region I've been to seems to have their own specific generic bird... and they hardly differ in potential. That's why I never bothered capturing them.

I disagree! Staraptor is a very versatile pokemon, and has a very heavy hand in battle, usually coupled with a wide variety of different moves. Pidgeot has a more balanced stat set, meaning it's more rounded in battle. It's also quite a bit slower than Staraptor!

Starly was the first Pokemon my older brother captured in the wild... he was able to make it into a powerful Staraptor over the years. I'll accept its potential, at least... I just preferred Honchkrow.

Ah, Honchkrow! A formidable bird pokemon indeed! Say, how did you evolve it from a murkrow? I hear that it evolves with the help of an evolution stone.

A Dusk Stone, yes. They're relatively easy to find in Sinnoh, given the large amount of mining our region does. In other regions, such stones would be rare to come by.

The underground! I love the underground!

You've been there often?

[A girl willingly hanging out in a dank, dirty place full of rocks and dirt and mud? Are you real?]

Now and then! It's a lot of fun. I dug up a couple fossils for the pokedex.

And you don't care about getting dirty at all, do you...

Well, that's what a bath's for, after all!

Other girls would do well to learn from you.

Oh, come on, not all girls are prissy and scared of dirt. Don't discriminate.

I've seen plenty that are.

It doesn't mean they all are! Besides, there's nothing wrong with being like that. It doesn't hurt anyone.

I just found it annoying... what use is there in a travel partner if they're scared of getting a little dirty?

Hah, well, there's a lot of ways to travel, after all.

[battlestandby]

Mm, many ways... so were you seeking any evolutionary stones?

[ohcrumbs]

Not exactly, but I found a good number of fire and thunder stones!

[battlestandby]

Hm... those will only evolve a choice few species. There's no need to keep so many.

[ohcrumbs]

I only have two fire stones and three thunder stones. I'm sure amidst over 400 pokemon I can find two fire types and three electric types!

[battlestandby]

If you say so. Are you planning on finding everything?

[ohcrumbs]

As much as possible! The project will probably be handed off to another trainer.

I'm sure you'll fill in most of it, at least.

We'll see! Like I said, a lot of this is just getting the bugs out.
