The Grand Opening
[A large WELCOME sign is hanging from the buildings when you walk into Levanta Town, but that seems to be the only sign that today is any different than any other day. The villagers are simply going about their daily business. However, if they are approached they are more than happy to explain the region as well as they can to any new arrivals.
Welcome to Levanta Town in The Drifting Land!]
Welcome to Levanta Town in The Drifting Land!]

You're looking pretty great yourself. [Stoutland don't mind the spider. He's cool with anything except your pre-evolution. Damn ticks. A friendly woof hello because it's Hilda and her
unnerving as hellspider.] Have you been to the shrine yet? I thought it might be pretty swell to give thanks to Landorus for a cool training spot.no subject
Not yet. You probably have though, huh. [Since he was always so friendly and curious. Unlike Galvantula. Who makes a sound back at Stoutland not unlike the screaming of a large
goliath bird-eatingspider. He's friendly, just! You know. That's how he speaks.] you mind coming with me?no subject
Hilbert winces at the sound the Galvantula makes and shakes his head, smiling.] I'd never miss the chance to hang out with a friend. I don't know if Landorus'd like an Electric-type to come to his shrine though, being the landy type of god.
no subject
That makes her frown a little.] If he's a god of the land, then he should love all things that live on it. And that includes Galvantula over there. [Otherwise she'll have a Talk with that god and make him see the error of his ways.]
no subject
Don't mind his nervous laughter, Hilda.] Y... Yeah, haha, that's true. Come on, let's head over. [Stoutland'll lead, thank you. He senses no ill intent from the spider, so it's fine to let it hang with Hilbert.]
no subject
What nervous laughter? That was obviously genuine. She's sure of it, just as Galvantula's sure that Stoutland's an awesome bro who'll let him travel next to Hilbert.] This place is pretty nice. It's a lot bigger than Nuvema Town, but it's nothing like Nimbasa or Castelia... Kind of disappointed about that. If I was going to wake up somewhere new, I'd like it to be big and full of life.
no subject
Yes, of course...] I'm kind of relieved! I'd be lost if it was anything like Castelia and I haven't been home in a while, so it's definitely got a relaxing feeling to it. Did you like the city a lot?
no subject
Oh, good.] Yep! It was pretty fast-paced. There were some pretty cute dancers there too. And the ice cream!
no subject
The cones were delicious! One of Samus's favorite things to eat, actually! Simis liked it too, but he's kind of at home right now with Mom. Keeping her company and all. I had Professor Juniper wire him over.
no subject
Oh, Mom... I wonder if she's all right? I kind of left without telling her... [Hmm.] Well, I'm sure Professor Juniper'll think of somethi--
[Hey. Wait a sec. Hold on. Something's not quite right here. Let this
airheadbattler think it over.]... You know the Professor?
no subject
[... Hold up. He gets it now.]
You know the Professor?
no subject
[How's this even possible, man.]
no subject
That's weird. Not the Tepig part, Bianca's is really strong, but the Pokédex and your friends' names. I didn't know they had friends in Nuvema other than me!
[He's kind of happy they branched out.]
no subject
Neither did I. It's a wonder we hadn't met before!
[Never mind.]
no subject
Come up here buddy, it's best just to leave them to themselves.]
I was just thinking that! How weird, right? Just meeting at the Subway, ha, when we could've been next door neighbors our whole lives!
no subject
Hey bud.]
I'm pretty sure Mom would've let me know if there'd been a decent-looking guy living next door, though... [...But wait a gosh darn minute.] You said Bianca had a Tepig?
no subject
[Hold on Hilda he has to shiver ugh ugh oh heavens it rubbed against him HE DOESN'T JUDGE POKEMON BUT
IT'S UNNERVING AND QUIET
sob.]Y-Yeah, she did. It's a big, strong Emboar now. I keep thinking she'd ride on its shoulders. You have one too, right?
no subject
[Also she really cannot miss your shiver, Hilbert.]
Are you afraid of Galvantula or something? [Snerk.] He's perfectly harmless.
no subject
[While he's talking, he's taking out a PokéBall and tossing it out, a Samurott proudly appearing. And immediately taking her spot next to Hilbert, peeking around his front shyly at Hilda. Hey, even if she recognizes you, you've got to give her a bit of time to adjust to the grass they're moving over. Stoutland's just rolling his eyes.]
This is Samus. I got her from the Professor, Cheren got Snivy, and Bianca got her Tepig. There can't be two of them, can there?
no subject
[She studies the Samurott when Hilbert lets her out, smiling fondly. Still as commanding a presence as ever, despite her nature. Hilbert's question makes her lean back and frown, stretching her arms over her head and mess with the ends of her put-up hair, thinking.]
There's no way that could be. I mean, two Cherens? Can you imagine? All those lectures... [Not groaning, no. They were interesting, and he taught them so simply, and they were pretty handy for battling, but... Cheren lecturing.] I wouldn't mind two Biancas, though. She's a great shopper.
no subject
[The groan's mimicked back at her the second she mentions two Cherens, but he nods at the next part.]
Two Biancas would be amazing, but I definitely want to see two Cherens face off against each other and see who's stronger. They'd be a good match-up with their skills.
[Samurott slips over to Hilda and nudges her a little, wanting just oooone pet or three, and after that she'll catch up to Stoutland to meet the new, erm, Electric-type friend he picked up. How unnerving.]
no subject
If yours got Snivy, then he'd automatically have the type advantage over the one I know... Cheren's always been good at getting out of tough situations, though, so the one I know'd probably win, no sweat.
no subject
They're probably end in a draw, or keep winning back and forth like some kind of mind game. Bianca'd probably just have fun instead of battle. [Stoutland barks for them to hurry up, because while they're gabbing like old ladies they're already at the shrine. Trainers!]
no subject
Look, she can even keep the convo going while jogging.]
Bianca'd go to the Poké Musical and talk to her double about what accessories go with what Pokémon. Meanwhile, the two Cherens would debate about strategies and complain about their best friends. Right?
no subject
Sounds just like them! You and I'll just have to balance it out with some good old-fashioned no-bars sparring, huh? I wouldn't mind seeing your team off the Subway. [But the shrine is more important, right Hilbert?]
