[She's been here for months and has pretty much given up on anybody else from back home showing up.

Leaf's picked out an empty cottage a few miles away from the town. She much prefers to be away from crowds. But since she did end up miles away from most civilization, she's free to have her slightly ridiculous array of pokemon out.

One of which is a very loud Braviary, who's CAW CAWing about how awesome he is. And a Blastoise who is... napping, and somehow ignoring all the cawing.]

Calm down, it's only us out here. We've already heard how great you are. [Nope, still cawing about how awesome he is. Because everybody needs to hear it!]

[If that Braviary keeps that up, he'll be lunch. This Red be on all fours, forgetting despite the growth spurt, he's in the body of a human boy.]

[Luckily Leaf is really close to her bird. And it's easy to see Red... crouching down?]

[Erk, he thought he would get the job done faster.

Time to play it cool.]

U-Um, I lost my glasses!

[His hands move around the grass wildly, looking more like swatting, as opposed to searching.]

... You're not going to find it like that. [You're just knocking things away.]

Well how else would I look?

[He feels ridiculous, he'll get back up on two's.]

Less swatting, more actual searching.

[Crosses arms.]

That's what it looked like. [Braviary will... caw at you. What is being polite? Is it a kind of food?]

You wouldn't know how to look for glasses, you don't wear any!

[This girl. But more importantly that bird. ARGH. His head jerks his way, snarling.

A few seconds later a Spoink, a Swinub, and a Tepig appear with exhausted faces, running towards Red.]

I know people who do.

[Glance at those pokemon] Are they yours?

Well you must not help them look for their glasses either.

[Looks back. The pigs are not quite near yet, especially Spoink.]

...Yes. Yes they are.

That's what he has a boyfriend for. [Noooot my prooooblem]

[redonmyhands]

Well what about friends?

Clearly you lack basic loya--AH!!

[Just as he says this Spoink hits him right in the back.]

[Swinub] Funny that coming from you Red.

[Green is most definitely not lost. He's not lost at all.

Still, he is discreetly trying to figure out a way back to civilization when he hears some very persistent cawing, and looks towards the source. It doesn't sound too far from here—and a glance at Eevee shows that she's quite curious about the sound, her ears perked up in interest, so it's probably friendly. Maybe it's a trainer! It's worth a shot.

He heads towards the sound and soon finds himself approaching a house, and then a—it's that Unova bird, Braviary?—and then—]

Leaf?

[He sort of shouts it, to be heard over the cawwing.]

[She'll turn to the bird and glare as soon as she hears that voice.] Hush. [At least Brohawk knows a serious order when it hears one]

Green? [It's been... a while since she's heard any Green around here.]

When did you get here?

I have one friend-- Did your pokemon just talk?

[leadergreen]

[Eevee gives a little cry of delight and bounds towards Leaf. Green follows at a more ordinary pace, running a hand through his hair.]

I just got here. Wherever "here" is. What's...going on? Last thing I remember, I was working late at the gym again.

[He smiles.] Man, I'm glad to see you, though. When'd you catch a braviary?

[typeless]

[It's not big bro Green if he doesn't have an Umbreon. She'll kneel down and pat the Eevee's head.]

We're on a floating island. The island just brought us here, but it'll let us off eventually.

... Good to see you too. [Not her version of you, but always nice to see Green variations around] I traded for him. [CAW CAW--]

Hush. [Fiiiiiine.]

Why, don't yours? [Another attack, this time an ember from Tepig. Red stops, drops, and rolls.]

[Tepig] You have it backwards, he's ours.

[... what even?]

... What do you mean?

[leadergreen]

[Eevee sniffs at Leaf's hand with confusion, then chirps at you. You smell weird, but you look right? What's up with tha—oh hey petting never mind.]

[Green raises an eyebrow.] A floating island. That stole us. Right.

[He waits for a second, watching Leaf's expression carefully. Braviary caws, and Leaf shuts him up, but—]

You're serious? Please don't tell me you're serious.

[typeless]

[She looks a bit annoyed at potentially having to repeat herself]

Of course I'm serious. Why would I joke? [The better question is when does she ever joke?]

[Swinub, traveling closer.] He's our Pokemon.

I am not!! [Laying on the ground, Red's protests are quieted by Tepig and Spoink's bouncing.]

...Sometimes you have a weird sense of humor. [Green's brow is furrowed as he steps closer, looking into her eyes. Something seems a little off about Leaf, but he's not sure what yet.]

When did you get the braviary?

... Not really. I get told to laugh more often.

[She'll place a hand on the bird's beak, to keep him quiet.] I traded for him a year ago.
