[She's been here for months and has pretty much given up on anybody else from back home showing up.

Leaf's picked out an empty cottage a few miles away from the town. She much prefers to be away from crowds. But since she did end up miles away from most civilization, she's free to have her slightly ridiculous array of pokemon out.

One of which is a very loud Braviary, who's CAW CAWing about how awesome he is. And a Blastoise who is... napping, and somehow ignoring all the cawing.]

Calm down, it's only us out here. We've already heard how great you are. [Nope, still cawing about how awesome he is. Because everybody needs to hear it!]

That's what it looked like. [Braviary will... caw at you. What is being polite? Is it a kind of food?]

You wouldn't know how to look for glasses, you don't wear any!

[This girl. But more importantly that bird. ARGH. His head jerks his way, snarling.

A few seconds later a Spoink, a Swinub, and a Tepig appear with exhausted faces, running towards Red.]

I know people who do.

[Glance at those pokemon] Are they yours?

Well you must not help them look for their glasses either.

[Looks back. The pigs are not quite near yet, especially Spoink.]

...Yes. Yes they are.

That's what he has a boyfriend for. [Noooot my prooooblem]

[redonmyhands]

Well what about friends?

Clearly you lack basic loya--AH!!

[Just as he says this Spoink hits him right in the back.]

[Swinub] Funny that coming from you Red.

I have one friend-- Did your pokemon just talk?

Why, don't yours? [Another attack, this time an ember from Tepig. Red stops, drops, and rolls.]

[Tepig] You have it backwards, he's ours.

[typeless]

[... what even?]

... What do you mean?

[redonmyhands]

[Swinub, traveling closer.] He's our Pokemon.

I am not!! [Laying on the ground, Red's protests are quieted by Tepig and Spoink's bouncing.]

Cut it out!!

... He looks like a normal human.

[redonmyhands]

Potion.

[Obviously did something he's not too proud off to get his hands on one.]

... Where did you find one?

[redonmyhands]

I found a Mismagius in the Dark Forest.

It's not like you can buy one at the supermarket.

You can only buy the healing item there.

[redonmyhands]

You jest peasant.

[He finally shakes the pigs off, standing up to push the difference of height between the two.]

Peasant? [She stands at at good 5'8". And she does not look impressed at his attempt to assert himself.]

You don't have anything that shows off a higher class, so yes.

[So she's not short compared to most females Red has run into. He can still scare her off, he figures. Four more inches she doesn't have.]

What I am or am not has nothing to do with you.

[She doesn't scare off easy. She'll stand there defiant with Braviary at her side and Blastoise quietly staring at the group in anticipation.]

You're right it doesn't.

[Spoink enters between the two, glaring at Red, then at the Blastoise cautiously.]

Red you're being rude.

[Tepig appears on Red's left, Swinub on his right.]

[Blastoise will lumber on up and sit herself on Leaf's other side.]

I was making an observation. Are you rich or..not?

[His impatient tone lowers when he notices the blue tortoise. Tepig shrinks back, giggling awkwardly at Blastoise.]

Why should it matter to you? It's skills that matter, not wealth.

[Blastoise will stare down at all of them. There are precious few things she cares about. And her trainer is one of those precious things.]

Well yeah, of course.

But do you even have those? Most humans I come across are peasants and they have nothing to offer.

[Tepig lowers his head, hiding behind his hooves.] H-Hey, it's Red who's a bother, not us you see.

[The speed of Spoink's bounces increase. He avoids eye contact with Blastoise, turning to the Trainer.] He calls every human that. It's nothing personal.
