The Grand Opening
[A large WELCOME sign is hanging from the buildings when you walk into Levanta Town, but that seems to be the only sign that today is any different than any other day. The villagers are simply going about their daily business. However, if they are approached they are more than happy to explain the region as well as they can to any new arrivals.
Welcome to Levanta Town in The Drifting Land!]

...Hilbert? You're here as well?
no subject
Sweet, a sight for sore eyes! Yeah. This place sounds pretty awesome, right? A floating island in the sky... There's sure to be some strong trainers to battle here, don't you think? [Never-ending enthusiasm and good thoughts. Even if he'd rather be looking for dat stone in Relic Castle and save the world and all.]
no subject
Awesome isn't exactly the word I would use, but you do have a point regarding strong Trainers. [Strong Trainers would make this place more interesting, that's for sure.]
I have to wonder where exactly this place is, though. I've never heard of any of these places before now.
no subject
Maybe it's just floating above Unova. [Brilliant, Hilbert. Brilliant.] I mean, with Landorus's Shrine being up here and all, that makes sense.
no subject
It would make sense if it were at least close-by for that same reason, though. I've never heard of other far-off regions having shrines to Legendary Pokemon from Unova.
no subject
I don't think any of these other weirdly-dressed people know where this could be either, floating on top of the world or not, so why don't we let it lie and have fun? I bet there's tons of Pokémon we've never seen before here!
no subject
Weirdly-dressed people? Do you mean Team Plasma? But you are right there. If there are Trainers here, there are bound to be wild Pokemon, maybe even some from other Regions. I'm sure the Professor would want a full report of whatever might be up here. [as thanks for the Pokedex and all, that's totes not an excuse to go out and catch Pokemon and look for some new strong ones to train. Nope.]
no subject
Nah, not just Team Plasma. [Heh.] And totally! There's gotta be a lot of strong ones we can befriend and train, since - unless the locals catch them - this looks like a Poké Paradise.
no subject
If not just Team Plasma, then who? [there were some other Trainers that dressed in weird outfits, but Team Plasma was by far the strangest.]
I suppose we will have to go elsewhere to actually find these Pokemon, though. It doesn't seem like there are many in the outskirts of this town yet.
no subject
The other Trainers, that's all. I bet their winters suck more than ours. [They're all pretty snazzy in a retro kind of way though.]
I wonder what kinds there are... Man, I'm seriously pumped now! Let's see, rocky areas first? Or maybe forests... I'll dive for Water-types too, and the meadows might be home to some types too. They're probably all scared of the new people coming around.
no subject
Why anyone would want to live somewhere with horrible winters, I have no idea.
[but away from winter and back to Pokemon. Pokemon are much nicer.]
I get the feeling Flying-types might be rather common around here. Even if the Pokemon are frightened by all of the new arrivals here, they're bound to come out eventually, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.
no subject
[Pokemon are definitely much nicer. Hilbert's just dressed for winter.]
... Oh, they are, huh? I guess you'd think that, being in the sky and all... [Urg. Flying-types. Big, mean, nasty birds that peck you if you try and capture their brethren or stumble too close to their nest as a child. Making a kind of unsure face, totally unconvincingly happy tone. Except for the Dragon part.] I hope they come out soon, I'd love to meet them all! Maybe we'll even see some Dragon-types.
no subject
As would I. If there are wild Pokemon up here, I don't see why there wouldn't be Dragon-types. They might be more difficult to find, but that's nothing new. Many fully-evolved Dragon-types can fly, as well, so this would likely be a perfect place for them.
no subject
Out of the way, not many people around... It definitely sounds like Dragon paradise. Even Team Plasma'd approve of a place like this, I bet!
no subject
They likely would, so long as the people that live here don't capture and train Pokemon. [which is still a really, really weird idea, and he is glad Team Plasma is gone. And that N might learn things in his adventures with Reshiram.]
no subject
Fat chance of that happening huh, Cheren? [Heheheh.] I kind of wish he could see it. That'd open his eyes.
no subject
atto about this new information! And catching Flying-types can't be too different here than back in Unova...]It's not unlikely that he might wind up here as well. I hope he does, if only to, as you said, open his eyes. [N might be kind of really weird, but it would be nice if he learned how things really were in most places.]
no subject
And maybe he'll even end up being one of your best friends, Cheren! [The idea's a nice one. A group of
fivefour friends.] It'd be cool to get to know him at least.no subject
I don't know about that. I doubt he'd approve of battling even if his eyes are opened to other things. [it would be nice to get to know him better and show him that most trainers are good people, but well. It's not something Cheren will admit aloud right now.]
no subject
Battling might not be on the top of his "approval" list, but he can at least acknowledge that it's how we get to know each other. It might take a while though, I guess. [
Caaaan you feeeeel the tsuuun toniiight ♪Hilbert'd be more than happy to take that job from Cheren, if he didn't want to do it.]no subject
A while is probably a bit of an understatement, given how he spoke before. [unless N sits down with Pokemon and learns from them or something, anyway. Cheren doesn't see much aside from that helping to change N's mind, really.]
no subject
There's hope. I think he'll come around as long as he sees it in action, when we're on the same side. [This is one thing Hilbert firmly believes. No matter how long it takes, he will show N that Pokémon and humans can co-exist peacefully and battle aside one another and that they don't need to be separated. And also that battling was a way to bring them closer together. You have a goddamn cheery childhood friend.]
