The Grand Opening

[A large WELCOME sign is hanging from the buildings when you walk into Levanta Town, but that seems to be the only sign that today is any different than any other day. The villagers are simply going about their daily business. However, if they are approached they are more than happy to explain the region as well as they can to any new arrivals.

[ You probably have decided that, though. ]

The inn is located in the town nearby. I'd asked the locals, and it shouldn't be too far away from the entrance. Should... I guide you there?

Chloe... I like it!　

[Yes. Yes he has. Good job.] Yes, do that. I'll follow you. [He'd thank her, but he's Ghetsis.]

... Thank you, lord Ghetsis.

[ There's a tiny bit of smug in her voice now. She does have a nice name, wouldn't deny it! Sparkle sparkle.

... Except the whole "personal servant" thing suddenly makes everything worse. Ah well, maybe she'll think of something to do about it.

Aaaand walking! ]

Have you been here for long? Have you visited the town yet?

[Oh man, so much ego-stroking.

Follow, follow~ He locks his hands behind his head as he walks, occasionally glancing about when he spots something interesting.]

No, not yet. [Let's just go ahead and say he's already had it explained to him by someone else who's tripped over him today.] What do you know about it?

[ Is all this even going to end well? ]

Well, I've asked the commoners... Apparently it's a town on a floating region. It's not that big, but good enough- there are some quite nice shops down the main street, for example. [ She goes shopping for clothes after she's done with you, that's final. ] The plaza is big enough for large crowds, and there's a Pokemon Center as well. The inn is on the main avenue, too, so it won't take too long to get there. There's also a shrine of some sorts... and beyond the town lies the unexplored land.

[ That last part's going to get your attention, isn't it. ]

[Not one bit.

Oh, heck yes that grabs his attention. Unexplored land means potentially new and never-before-seen Pokémon, along with who knows what else. You are the best guide, and Ghetsis thinks he will keep you. He also like the whole 'Lord' and 'commoners' thing you've got going. Keep doing that.]

Hmm... Is there a league, do you know?

[ Of course she's the best. She's totally the best in general. Well, unless it comes to training, that's one thing she isn't the best at.

... And maybe she should just let you wander out in the unexplored land and be done with this, but why does she have this feeling she'd have to come with you. ]

Oh, I'm afraid not, sir. A disappointment, isn't it? Weren't you going to beat the champion?

[ ... She might sound a bit snide there. ]

[Yes, you would. The stupid kid can't cook for himself. Do you want him to starve, Chloe? What would become of future Team Plasma if Ghetsis died and N was never born?

This news does disappoint him a bit, yes. But on the other hand, this is a completely new and exciting experience.]

I can beat him when I get back. [He shrugs, rather excitedly staring out toward the unexplored land.] Until then, conquering this unexplored region is my top priority.

[ ... Stop this emotional blackmail. You're just taking advantage of the fact a ~proper lady~ like her wouldn't let a kid die of starvation ~~because he's too stupid to learn how to cook~~. You're lucky she's better at it than she is at being a Pokemon trainer.

... Well, that kind of sounds like the Ghetsis she knows. ]

If I might add, my lord, there is a possibility of a champion appearing here, too. It looks like there are all sorts of people here.

[ Also your top priority right now should be finally getting to that inn. By the way, the town's entrance is real close already. ]

But it won't count if I don't thrash them in a league-sanctioned match.

[He sounds a bit bitter about this. He did already meet a Cynthia, but she was only 14 and not at all a champion yet. Cute, though, but I digress.

Oh, so it is. Well, lead the way, then.]

... A league might be formed with time, though.

[ Does that mean you were mean to her and/or stuttered? That's how you guys usually behave around cute girls.

Anyway, here they are! The town. The main street is rather wide, and there are quite a few people, so it might be pretty easy for you two to lose each other, oops. But the inn shouldn't be too far away - closer to the plaza, and on the left side of the street. Let's get going! ]

[He more flailed and thought he was hallucinating the entire time, really.

Tally ho, good servant! Oh, is this the inn? Looks pretty cozy.]

Nice place.

[ You sure can handle girls, Ghetsis. Not.

And she'll look a bit smug at the last remark. ]

Isn't it? The best part, though, is that it's free! In fact, everything in this town is. Quite convenient, wouldn't you say?

[ Well, unless you've been told that already. :|b ]
