The Grand Opening

[A large WELCOME sign is hanging from the buildings when you walk into Levanta Town, but that seems to be the only sign that today is any different than any other day. The villagers are simply going about their daily business. However, if they are approached they are more than happy to explain the region as well as they can to any new arrivals.

Welcome to Levanta Town in The Drifting Land!]

[What an angry child. But that's another reasonable reaction, too. So you know, taking notes on that, as well.]

Anger, yes. Likely one of the more common responses, but oddly enough, many of the others here have been more surprised than anything, based on their responses.

[He's only angry because of the situation. He's normally smug-ass. But he lets out a sigh.]
These people are unreal.
[But then...]
Are you surveying us? Why?

Are they? I would say surprise is a completely understandable response to being forced to start a new chapter in their lives in a previously unheard of land.

[but back to his question, since it would probably be rude to not answer his questions in return.]

I suppose you could say that! I'm a novelist, you see, and it seems like I'll be lacking my usual source of inspiration for an indefinite period of time. Since this land is now teeming with Trainers from all different walks of life, it's bound to be filled with inspiration for new novels, as well!

I'm speaking of the excited ones. Imagine it - excited about being trapped like this!
[He corrected, signing. But she's a novelist? He liked people like that - people who worked hard, and she seemed like a very hard worker (even though he'd never heard of somebody who looked like her). He wasn't sure of her normal inspiration - was she a traveller? But, of course, it's time to give his name.]
My name's Grimsley.
